Philipp Gschwandtner

Philipp Gschwandtner ( born August 12, 1989) is an Austrian bodybuilder and former grass skiers. As grass skier, he began, like his brother Daniel Gschwandtner, which is also grass skiers for the ski club Bad Tatzmannsdorf and belonged to the A-team of the Austrian Ski Federation. In 2009 he became junior world champion in giant slalom. Since 2010 he is an amateur bodybuilder.

Career

Grasski

Philipp Gschwandtner played his first international race in July 2004 at the Junior World Championships in his hometown Rettenbachferner. He finished in 16th place in the slalom and in the combination and ranked 24th in the giant slalom and 38th in the super -G. After three FIS races he started in late August for the first time in the World Cup, but was able to still win any World Cup points. In the 2005 season, he played exclusively FIS races, where he came on July 2 in the slalom of Marbachegg first time in the top ten, as well as the Junior World Cup in Nove Mesto na Moravě, where he drove in all competitions among the fastest 30 and as best result achieved rank 21 in the combination.

At the Junior World Cup 2006 Gschwandtners was one result of the 22nd place in the Super -G. In August and September of the same year he again took part in several World Cup races and reached it the first time the points. His best result was 17th place in the slalom in the saddle on August 26, with which he came in the overall standings in the 2006 season ranked 31. In the 2007 season Gschwandtner reached on August 26, with tenth place in the second slalom of saddle his best ever World Cup result; the previous day he had already occupied twelfth place. Nevertheless, he could only marginally improve in the standings over the previous year and he was ranked 28th At the Junior World Championship 2007, he drove to ninth in the slalom, finishing twelfth in the giant slalom and 15th place in the Super Combined. However, in the next season Gschwandtner was able to place in FIS races several times in the top ten, in the World Cup only drive twice into the top 20, with which he was ranked 27 in the overall standings. He scored good results at the Junior World Championship 2008 in the Swiss vineyards. In the super -G, he drove the same time as the Czechs Lukáš Kolouch in sixth place and in the super combined in seventh. In the slalom, he came at the same time with his brother in eighth place and in the giant slalom in eleventh.

In the 2009 season, the castle countries in the World Cup could increase significantly. He came six times in the top 16, which he improved in the final ranking to 13th place. Great successes came at the Junior World Championships in 2009 in the Czech Horni Lhota u Ostravy by winning the gold medal in the giant slalom and the bronze medal in the Super -G. In slalom, he finished sixth, but the super-combined, he could not finish. In September 2009, Gschwandtner first participated in a World Championship in the general class. In his hometown Rettenbachferner he finished 16th in the Super G, 19th place in the giant slalom and 32nd in the Super Combined. In the slalom, he left in the first round. In the 2010 season, he started only at the FIS races in Rettenbach that counted as Austrian Championships at the same time. There, his only result was the tenth place in the Super - G, which earned him the bronze medal in the Austrian Championships.

Body building

Philipp Gschwandtner began in 2009 with an intense bodybuilding training. In his first race on 24 October 2010 he took first place at the Austrian Newcomer Championships and second place at the International Austrian Championships in its class.
