Philipp Wollenberg ( born March 6, 1989 in Wadern ) is a German football player.

Birth and childhood

Wollenberg in 1989 not far the border triangle Germany - Luxembourg - France located in the Saarland Wadern, a small town, was born. He grew up in the district Morscholz.

Career

Association

In the 2007 /08 season Wollenberg completed for the SV Rot - Weiß Hasborn - Dautweiler 18 games in the big leagues southwest and a game in the DFB Cup, which was 0:8 lost against Hansa Rostock. That same season, he moved within the League 1 FC Saarbrücken and arrived there in the second half a goal in seven games. In the following season Saarbrücken First League and Wollenberg was came to 23 events and two gates. After climbing Wollenberg should be put in the second team, which played in the sixth league and left the club.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to the regional league team 1.FC Nürnberg II, for whom he played 26 games, scoring one goal and end up with the club took second place in the table. The following season he remained a regular player.

In December 2009, coach Dieter Hecking Wollenberg brought into the first team. There Wollenberg came on 20 November 2010 on his first Bundesliga use. After three failures of master players new -look defense did not work at all against 1 FC Kaiserslautern, he came on with the score at 0-3 before the break. In the first round on the final day against Hannover, he completed his first Bundesliga match on 90 minutes. For the second round Wollenberg was first-team regular alongside Andreas Wolf at center-back of the club. In the 5-0 win against FC St. Pauli 5 March 2011 Wollscheid scored his first Bundesliga goal. He was named Player of the Day in the match against Hertha BSC on the opening day of the season 2011 /12.

For the 2012/13 season Wollenberg joined Bayer 04 Leverkusen. On September 20, 2012 Wollscheid gave the Europa League group game against Metalist Kharkiv his European Cup debut. With its 1-0 in the Europa League group match against Rapid Vienna on October 25, 2012 Wollscheid marked its first European goal.

On March 24, 2014 Wollenberg was honored for his launch of Sky presenter Jessica Kastrop with the Raab week.

National

Wollenberg debuted on April 7, 2010 in the German U-20 national team in a friendly match against Italy U-20 and was on 16 May 2013 Joachim Loew for the international matches against Ecuador (May 29, 2013) and USA (June 2, 2013) in the squad of the national team. His senior international debut came on May 29, 2013 in a 4-2 victory in a friendly against Ecuador in the selection Boca Raton (USA) when he came on in the 90th minute for Lars Bender.
