Phra Pradaeng District

Amphoe Phra Pradaeng ( Thai อำเภอ พระประแดง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Samut Prakan Province in central Thailand. It is located in a large loop of the Chao Phraya River.

Geography

The neighboring districts are (clockwise from the west): the districts (Khet Bangkok ) Thung Khru, Rat Burana, Yan Nawa, Khlong Toei, Phra Khanong and Bang Na, and Amphoe Mueang Samut Prakan Samut Chedi and Phra Samut Prakan province.

(Also called Mega Bridge ) The futuristic Bhumibol Bridge connects the Amphoe Phra Pradaeng to the south of Bangkok.

History

Phra Pradaeng is the center of the area south of Bangkok near the mouth of the Chao Phraya River.
