Pierre Arpaillange

Pierre Arpaillange ( born March 13, 1924 in Carlux or Simeyrols, both Dordogne ) is a French lawyer and state official and author.

Life

Arpaillange studied law. He was the government Michel Rocard follower of Albin Chalandon of 13 May 1988 to October 2, 1990 Minister of Justice under President François Mitterrand. He was succeeded in office as Justice Minister Henri Nallet. From October 1990 to March 1993 he was the first president of the French Court.
