Pietro Cardinal Palazzini ( born May 19, 1912 in Piobbico, Pesaro and Urbino, Italy; † 11 October 2000 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church

Life

Pietro Palazzini received his philosophical and theological education in Fano and Rome. He received 6 December 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked for seven years as chancellor of the seminary of Cagli. He provided the same task in the years 1942-1945 at the Pontifical Roman Seminary in Rome, and from 1945 to 1949 at the Pontifical Athenaeum Apollinare. From 1945 to 1954 he worked as a lecturer at various universities in Rome. 1956 Pope Pius XII appointed him. to the Under Secretary of the Congregation for the people Consecrated Life, 1958 he was appointed by Pope John XXIII. Pietro Palazzini participated in the years 1962-1965 at the Second Vatican Council. Pope Paul VI. appointed him in 1969 to the Secretary of the Commission of Cardinals for the Pontifical Shrines of Pompeii and Loreto and took him on March 5, 1973 as a cardinal deacon with the title of San Pier Damiani Diakonia ai Monti di San Paolo in the College of Cardinals to.
