Pietro Ruzolone

Pietro Ruzzolone, also Rozzolone or Ruzolone (active from 1484 to 1522 in Palermo) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance in Sicily.

About his education is not known, it may be studied with Tommaso de vigilia in Palermo. His name appears occasionally in connection with the sculptor Domenico Gaginis.

He enjoyed a high reputation in his lifetime, in particular, he has made as a painter of wooden crosses and altarpieces a name.
