Plessa (Amt)

The Office Plessa is a 1992 formed Office in Brandenburg, had in the initially seven churches in the former districts of Bad Liebenswerda and Finsterwalde together (from 1993 Elbe-Elster district, Brandenburg ) to a management group. The seat is in the municipality Plessa. Through municipal mergers and incorporations, the Office currently consists of four municipalities.

Geographical location

The Office Plessa located in the southern part of the district Elbe- Elster in Brandenburg ( Germany ). It is bordered on the north by the Office Elsterland, on the northeast by the official free the city Finsterwalde, on the east by the official free Lauchhammer ( Oberspreewald - Lausitz), to the southeast by the Office outskirts, on the south by the Office Schradenland and to the west by the amt free cities Elsterwerda and bathroom Liebenswerda.

The Office Plessa currently manages four municipalities:

  • Gorden - Staupitz with the districts Gorden and Staupitz
  • Hohenleipisch with the district Dreska
  • Plessa with the districts Döllingen and Kahla
  • Schraden

History

On 13 July 1992, the Minister of the Interior of Brandenburg gave its approval for the formation of the Office Plessa. As the time of conclusion of the Office July 21, 1992 has been set. The office was located in the municipality Plessa and initially consisted of seven municipalities in the former districts of Bad Liebenswerda and Finsterwalde:

As of 31 December 2001, the municipalities Döllingen and Kahla were integrated into the community Plessa. As of 31 December 2001, the municipalities Gorden and Staupitz merged to form the new municipality Gorden - Staupitz.

The coat of arms was approved on November 7, 1994.

Amtsdirektor
