Podławki

Podławki ( German Podlacken ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. It belongs to the powiat Kętrzyński, Gmina Barciany. Podławki is seat of a Schulz Office ( sołectwo ) to which the villages Kiemławki Małe and Kiemławki Wielkie belong.

Geographical location

Podławki is located in northern Poland, approximately 20 kilometers south of the Polish border with Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast. Neighbouring villages are Kiemławki Wielkie in the north, Ostry Róg in the east, Nowy Mikielnik and Banaszki in the south and Nowe Borszyny in the West.

History

The farming village was located in 1379 after Kulm law. At the same time the inhabitants were freed to ten years of tax burdens. At that time the village belonged to an area of ​​14 Wloka. 1933 1939 221 206 inhabitants were counted. In January 1945, the Red Army occupied the area. As a result of the war was as Podlacken Podławki part of Poland and it was established a government-run agricultural cooperative.
