Polarkreis 18

Arctic Circle 18 was a pop band from Dresden, which evolved out of the band Jack of All Trades. Stylistically mix Arctic Circle 18 Pop, Synth -pop, post-rock and indie Tronic. History

Arctic Circle 18 was founded in 1997 Christmas in Dresden. It came out all trades from the previous projects, NBI, and Jack of Adrenaline. Before the year 2005 the band was at times only of the core members of robbers, Wenzel and Pasora.

Origin of the band name

On the origin of the band name, in which it is loud guitarist Makolies a gag, there are different stories: According to an early interview with the band name originated from the random name of a sound file in studio work, which was later first then accepted for a song and as a group name. In a later interview the band the origin of the band name stated otherwise: The father of a friend had undertaken an expedition to the Arctic Circle still in GDR times.
