Geography

Pollen field is located in the Ingolstadt region 8 km north of the county town of Eichstätt on the Franconian Jura.

Community structure

There are the following districts: Pollenfeld with Wörmersdorf, Seuversholz with brick hut, with Sornhüll Götzelshard, guard cell with brick hut, Weigersdorf, Preith.

History

The pollen Fields church has always been incorporated into the cathedral chapters of Eichstätt. The office of the Prince-Bishopric of Eichstätt was from 1500 in the Frankish Empire circle and fell with the largest part of the area in hochstiftischen Reichsdeputationshauptschluss in 1803 to the Principality of Eichstätt of Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany. Since the peace treaties of Brno and Bratislava in 1805 the place belonged to Bavaria. Created in 1818 by the Bavarian Gemeindeedikt the community Pollenfeld.

Incorporations

The incorporations of municipalities Seuversholz, Sornhüll, guard cell, Weigersdorf (all on 1 January 1972 ) and partly by Preith ( 1 May 1978) were carried out in the context of local government reform.

Population Development

On the territory of the municipality were 1970 1.984, 1987, 2378 and 2000 counted 2,768 residents a year.

The coat of arms was approved on 6 December 1985 by the Government of Upper Bavaria.

Blazon: "In red over a silver silver thistle with six base leaves a border golden lion. "

The coat of arms was designed by Theodor heraldist Goerge from Freising.

Economy, agriculture and forestry
