Porsche Tennis Grand Prix

The WTA Stuttgart ( officially: Porsche Tennis Grand Prix ) is an indoor tournament of the WTA Tour, which will take place in Stuttgart's Porsche - Arena. The tennis tournament, the prize money belongs to the third- highest category of the WTA Tour with 740,000 U.S. dollars, is the successor to the previously transmitted in Filderstadt competition and thus one of the oldest tournaments in the ladies tour. It is organized by Dr. Ing H.C. F. Porsche AG. As tournament director acts since 2005 Markus Günthardt, athletic director Anke Huber.

History

As part of a comprehensive reform of the WTA Tour Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will take place on the sand and in April in the Porsche Arena since 2009.

As part of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix prize money of 740,000 U.S. dollars will be distributed. The winner of the women's singles receive a check for 115,000 dollars and also a Porsche sports car.

In the years 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012, the Tournament of the players was voted the most popular tournament on the WTA Tour and excellent.
