Povrly

Povrly ( German Pömerle, also Pömmerle ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers east of the center of Ústí nad Labem and belongs to Okres Ústí nad Labem.

Geography

Located on the left bank of the Elbe Povrly at the mouth of the creek Luzecky Potok ( king brook ) in the Bohemian Central Mountains. To the north rise the Dobrý ( Laade, 323 m) and the Bradlo ( Pradel, 451 m), to the east the LICHA (Lech mountain, 462 m) and Buková hora (zinc stone, 683 m ) south of the Sokolí hřeben ( 592 m), the Kamenná hora (601 m) and the Magnetovec ( Spitzberg, 520 m), in the southwest of the Varta ( 379 m ) west of the Kozi vrch (goat mountain, 379 m) and in the northwest of the Vysoký kámen ( High stone, 493 m). To the north lies the creek fed by the reservoir Luzecky Povrly. Through the town, the railway line Praha- Decin and state highway I/62 of Ústí nad Labem to lead Decin. From the hamlet of Neštědice is a ferry service to Březno.

Neighboring towns are Petrův Mlýn (Peters Mill), Český Bukov ( Böhm. Pokau ) and Maškovice ( Masch Schukowitzgasse ) in the north, Skrytín ( Skritin ) Roztoky ( Rongstock ) and Přerov ( Pschüra ) in the Northeast, Malé Březno (small Priesen ) in the east, Pláň (Plan), Babiny II ( Babina ) Suletice ( Sulloditz ) and Byňov ( Binowe ) in the south, Březno (Great Billed ) in the southwest, Neštědice ( nests seat) to the west and Veseli ( Wesseln ) and Mašovice ( Meischlowitz ) in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was in 1169, when the Order of St. John the linkselbische area was transferred to the mountain Chwoynov for colonization. At this time probably existed a Slavic settlement, on the corridors of the Order founded a village under German law. The first written mention of Povrly dates back to 1186th At that time took place at Rongstock mining of silver. In the 14th century Povrly was connected to the Good mosern. 1393 acquired the Lords of Lung joke mosern with Pömmerle. Following the beginning of the 15th century application of the Burg Blankenstein Pömerle the castle rule was slammed. In the Berni rula 1654 26 economies are reported for Pömerle. 1673 the village had grown to 35 houses. 1736 is a customs office in Pömerlei detectable. Between September 12, 1797 to August 31, 1798 broke into Pömerlei of ten fires. Gepfarrt was Pömerle after Rongstock. The village belonged to the middle of the 19th century, always to rule Blankenstein.

After the abolition of patrimonial Pömmerle / Povrly formed a municipality in the district court or district Aussig Aussig. By 1851, inaugurated the construction of the k.k. Northern State Railway was the establishment of industries. The most important business was the copper smelter was opened in 1899. In 1901 the new school was dedicated. 1921 consisted of 185 houses and the village had 1196 inhabitants, most of whom were German. 1930 lived 1319 people in the community. After the Munich Agreement in 1938 Pömerle slammed the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district of Usti nad Labem. 1939, the municipality had 1195 inhabitants. In 1945 Povrly back to Czechoslovakia, the German inhabitants were expelled. 1948, the community was the Okres Ústí nad Labem - okolí assigned. Since 1961 Povrly heard again Okres Ústí nad Labem, at the same time were added Český Bukov, Neštědice, Roztoky and Mírkov. In the year 1976, yet the incorporation of Slavošov. Most important companies in the community today is the Měď Povrly as that manufactures copper strips and building sheets.

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Český Bukov, Lužec u Petrova Mlýna, Lysa, Mašovice pod Vysokým kamenem, Mírkov, Neštědice, Povrly, Roztoky nad Labem, Šachov and Slavošov.
