Pozlovice

Pozlovice ( German Poslowitz ) is a market town in the Czech Republic. It is located about four kilometers northeast of Luhačovice and belongs to Okres Zlín.

Geography

Pozlovice is located at the junction of the White Carpathians and the Vizovická highlands in the valley of the brook Pozlovický creek. The town is located on the edge of the nature reserve PLA White Carpathians. To the north rise the Větrník (432 m), the Brda (600 m), Baba ( 635 m) and the Komonec ( 672 m), to the east the Plaňavka ( 381 m ) and Kameničná (521 m), southeast of the Obětová (511 m), in the south of the Jestřabí hora, the southwest Obora ( 386 m) and in the northwest the Kamenná ( 483 m), Obersky ( 483 m) and the Čertův kámen (542 m). East of the Pozlovice Šťávnice is jammed in the reservoir Luhačovice.

History

The first written mention of Pozlovicensem was made in 1287 in connection with Soběhrd of Pozlovice. In 1399 a Mikuschek de Pozlowicz ( Mikúšek z Pozlovic ) was mentioned. The oldest documentary evidence of Pozlowicze, the village 1412 as part of Eliska Světlovská von Sternberg associated rule Světlov. Since 1449 a parish in Pozlovice is occupied. In the power struggle between George of Podiebrad and Matthias Corvinus the castles Světlov and Engelberg, were destroyed. Paul received the goods Luhačovice, Poslowitz, Řetechov, Pradlisko, Provodov, podhradí, Petrůvka, Zilin, Kladná and Přečkovice, from whom he formed the new rule Luhačovice while Gabriel obeyed on the remaining part of Světlov as well as the feud Vasilsko. Paul Graf Sereny left in 1642 to cancel the old wooden church and replaced by a stone building. After the invasion of the Turks in 1663 the rectory and the church had to be repaired. 1670 the site was designated as Pozlowitz. 1655 Ořechov was ausgepfarrt and there set up a separate parish. In November 1704, the kuruc burned down the whole village. On February 25, 1758 Maria Theresia Poslowicz got to town and granted the privilege of a weekly market and an annual cattle fair. The oldest city seal dates from 1759. Pozlovice The parish was greatly reduced in the 18th century, was born in 1735 in Provodov own parish, 1784 in Luhačovice and 1785 in Horni Lhota. The construction of the spa between Poslowicz and Luhačovice the town in the second half of the 18th century experienced a further upswing. Until the mid-19th century Poslowitz remained the rule Luhačovice submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Poslowice / Poslowitz formed in 1850 a market town in the district team Uherský Brod and the jurisdiction Valašské Klobouky. After the dissolution of the district headquarters Poslowice in 1855 assigned to the district office Valašské Klobouky. As of 1868, the village belonged to the reconstructed District Commission Uherský Brod and two years later also to the local judicial district. In 1872, the community was called Pozlovice. In 1905 Pozlovice was assigned to the judicial district Bojkovice to which the village belonged until 1949. The volunteer fire department was founded 1906. 1949 both the Okres Uherský Brod and the district court Bojkovice was repealed and assigned the community the Okres Valašské Klobouky. This lasted until the end of 1960, then became part of the Pozlovice Okres Gottwaldov. On July 15, 1976 Pozlovice was incorporated into the city Luhačovice. Since November 24, 1990 Pozlovice again forms a separate municipality. 1996 Pozlovice winner in the Village of the Year competition in Central Moravia. In 2001 Pozlovice was added to the list of spa towns in the Czech Republic. Since April 23, 2008 Pozlovice again has the status of a Městys.
