Pozzallo
Pozzallo is a city in the province of Ragusa in the region of Sicily in Italy with 19,205 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Pozzallo is located 30 km southeast of Ragusa on the coast of the Mediterranean. It is the only municipality in the province of Ragusa, which is by the sea. The inhabitants live by agriculture ( carob ) and fisheries.
The neighboring municipalities are Ispica and Modica.
History
The town developed around the tower. 1829, the community was self-employed.

Traffic
The train station of Pozzallo on the railway line Caltanissetta Gela - Syracuse is the southernmost station with passenger in Italy. The journey time is approximately 1 hour to Ragusa, Syracuse about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
