Prusy-Boškůvky

Prusy - Boškůvky is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-east of Vyškov and belongs to Okres Vyškov.

Geography

Prusy - Boškůvky is located at the northwestern foot of Litenčické Hills in the valleys of the streams and creek Pruský Boškůvský creek. To the north flows the Haná. Right side of the river leads past the Highway 1, take the next exit 236 is Ivanovice na Hané. To the south, the Lysa hora rises (361 m) in the southwest of Holý Kopec ( Bald Mountain, 374 m) and west of the Kopaniny ( 356 m). To the north lies the Stauweiher Pruský fishpond.

Neighboring towns are Trpinka and Rybníček in the north, Medlovice in the northeast, Moravské Málkovice in the east, in the southeast Orlovice, Pavlovice and Vážany in the south, and Terešov Zouvalka the southwest, Nouzka in the west and Brňany, Křečkovice and Topolany in the northwest.

History

After the local chronicle is supposed to have existed in Moravské Prusy since 1052 mansion. The first certain mention of the village and the church took place in 1349. Boškůvky be traced back to 1373. Although the owners of both villages changed often, Moravské Prusy and Boškůvky were always one and the same landlords. In 1631, acquired Leo Wilhelm von Kaunitz both villages and beat them to his rule Austerlitz. This they remained subservient to the middle of the 19th century.

After the abolition of patrimonial Moravské Prusy formed ( with Tlustomacek or Zouvalka ) and Boškůvky 1850 two municipalities in the District Commission Wischau. In 1960 Zouvalka: Moravian Prusy to Vyškov was umgemeindet. In 1964 the merger of the municipalities Moravské Prusy and Boškůvky to the municipality Prusy - Boškůvky. All facilities of the local infrastructure are located in the district of Moravské Prusy.

The community Prusy - Boškůvky consists of the districts Boškůvky ( Boskuwek ) and Moravské Prusy ( Moravian Pruß ).

Attractions

  • Church of Sts. George in Moravské Prusy, 1733 instead of a burned-down in 1700 previous building
  • Bell tower on the village green of Boškůvky, built before 1750
  • Desert festivals Moravské Prusy, on a hill south of the local part of the same; they probably originated around 1400 and died out in the mid-16th century. In 1591 it was designated as desolate.
  • Natural Monument Zouvalka, southwest of the community
