Pugh Rogefeldt

Pugh Rogefeldt ( born March 2, 1947 in Västerås, when Anders Sture Torbjörn Rogefeldt ) is a Swedish musician, singer and songwriter.

Career

Rogefeldt sang in his childhood in the church choir before he played in his youth in various blues bands. In the late 1960s he sent demo tapes, only the record company Metronome showed interest. Meanwhile he had been drafted into military service, however, so that he had illegally removed from the force to take up his 1968 published debut single " Haru vart på cirkus " for which he was rewarded with a three-month prison sentence.

In 1969, Rogefeldt with guitarist George Wadenius and drummer and later actor Jan Karlsson of the Progressive band Hansson and Karlsson released his debut album " Yes, De ä Den ", which became a commercial success in Sweden and there received a Grammy. His following albums were characterized by a mix of blues rock, jazz, funk and folk. He celebrated primarily in the 1970s successes, taking the time collaborated with several well-known Swedish musicians from various genres such as Peps Persson, Janne Schaffer Ola or Magnell. From the middle of the decade, he worked with the band Rain skirt.
