The songs rely mainly on feelings and emotions, it describes the Count in " mirror image" of a dialogue with himself in the form of the mirror image. There, he sees himself as a child and sees his fears, dreams and experiences that have made him what he was. The song puppeteer describes the basic idea of the puppet theater, which transfers the count to the present day and describes his life on par with Unholy.
Style
Also on this album have now received more space and dominance in the songs again the guitars. But find themselves with titles like Be my light or by your side also ballad songs where the voice of the Count is significantly softer than in the remaining songs and the music backbone of the songs is still a very danceable rhythm, kept almost purely instrumental is. How many years and coincides with the curtain there are still two quieter pieces, in the latter there is even a guitar solo. The last track Memoria, however, is the only purely instrumental piece held.

Single releases
As a single decoupled from the album was on your side, on the next to 2 different versions of the song, a video and a Clubmix are included from Golden Times. The decoupling of mirror image was not as a single, but as an EP, available on the CD next to three different versions of the song (including a remix by Die Krupps ), the orchestral version of The Story of Us as well as three new songs ( Sleepless, SSDD and witch hunt ).
Shadow Play (Tour CD)
Coinciding with puppet also appeared a tour CD which was entitled shadow play and which could only be acquired on the puppeteer tour of Unholy. In the CD there was a split release Unheiligs with the bands goJA moon ROCKAH and FAQ. Unheiligs Part outlining in eight of 13 titles overall, more than half from there. In addition to live versions of well-known songs such as Guardian Angel, Sage Yes, freedom or My star is also found three brand new songs that bore the title of cold, lifeless and Sleeping Beauty. The latter is an unabridged reading of the Counts of the Grimm fairytale Sleeping Beauty, which is accompanied by only a very faint music in the background.
