Winter (Unheilig song)

November 19, 2010

Winter is the first and only single from the German rock band Unheilig from their sixth EP Grosse Freiheit - Winter Edition. Thank the song is also known as Winterland known, this was in fact the original name of the single, with the video premiere of the song was still called Winterland, also on the website, the song was advertised under that name, but after about two weeks the single was only sold under the name Winter. This was due to a legal dispute with the band originating from Kaiserslautern winter country who has this portmanteau registered since 1998 with the Patent Office as a trademark. Also, the original cover of Unholy CD, a single leafless tree in a winter landscape, was strongly reminiscent of a cover band Winterland. After an exchange of letters of the lawyers of the two bands, the record company of Unholy signed a cease and desist; then the title was renamed and the Cover - changed.

The first release was on 19 November 2010 in Germany and Austria, in Switzerland, the single was released two days later on 21 November 2010. The song was written produced by the Count, it was by Hendrik Kersten, Jens Rodenberg and Kiko Masbaum. There are two different covers, on the one hand, to see how the Count comes running on a winter evening with a full moon in a forest ( winter edition ) and on the other is just a bare tree to see, standing in front of a mountain backdrop ( Winterland edition ).
