Queensbury tube station

Queensbury is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Brent. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 4 on the Cumberland Road. In 2011, 3.18 million passengers used the area served by the Jubilee Line station.

The station was opened on December 16, 1934, two years after commissioning of the electrified from the outset Stanmore branch line of the Metropolitan Railway ( predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line). Then the name of the station had no relationship to an existing geographic object, but was chosen by analogy with the neighboring station Kingsbury. After the integration of the Metropolitan Railway into the net of the London Underground, it was decided in 1933 to übertragenm operation towards Stanmore on the Bakerloo Line, which happened on 20 November 1939. The Bakerloo Line, in turn, was replaced on 1 May 1979, the newly opened Jubilee Line.
