Radoslav Suchý

Radoslav Suchy ( born April 7, 1976 in Kežmarok, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player who is since October 2011, when HK Poprad in the Slovak Extraliga under contract.

Career

Radoslav Suchy began his career as a hockey player with the SKP Poprad PS, for whom he made ​​his debut in the Slovak Extraliga in the 1993/94 season. Then the defender joined the Sherbrooke Faucons, for which he spent three years active in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. After two seasons in which played the Slovak for the Las Vegas Thunder of the International Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, he was awarded in 1999 - without ever having been previously drafted - a contract with the Phoenix Coyotes, for he ran aground, the following five seasons in the National Hockey League.

During the lockout in the 2004/ 05 NHL season Suchy returned to his former club to Poprad, for he scored in 34 games the main round total of 15 scorer points, including five goals. Following the resumption of gaming operations in the NHL the links Sagittarius received a contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets for which he in the 2005/06 season in 79 games overall eight scorer points, including a goal posted. After a season Suchy left the Blue Jackets already back and was committed by the ZSC Lions of the Swiss National League A, for whom he played in the next four years, and with whom he was 2008 Swiss Champion, and 2009, the Champions Hockey League won.

After a Slovak team was included in the Continental Hockey League with HC Lev Poprad first time, Suchy returned to the 2010/11 season back in his homeland and signed for KHL rookie from Poprad. As this did not take up the game mode, Suchy trained first with the HK Poprad and got in early September a contract. For the 2011/12 season he was obliged by HK Avangard Omsk of the KHL. After just five appearances in which he gave two assists, he left Avangard Omsk in October 2011 again and joined again the HK Poprad from the Extra Liga.

For Slovakia Suchy took part in the World Championships 2000, 2003 and 2005. In addition, he was in the squad of Slovakia at the World Cup of Hockey in 2004 and the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
