Rangitukia

Rangitukia is a small community in the Gisborne region in the northeast of the North Island of New Zealand. It lies on the north side of the mouth of the Waiapu River. The town is located 155 km north of the city Gisborne. The small river Maraehara River flows in the local area in the Waipua.

State Highway 35 passes in about 4 km south-west to Tikitiki. The small town Maraehara 3 km northwest can only be achieved through Rangitukia.

East Cape, the easternmost point of the New Zealand mainland, is about 12 km in a north-easterly direction, the approach is, however, about the nearly 20 km to the north Te Araroa.
