Raúl Tamudo Montero (born 19 October 1977 in Santa Coloma de Gramanet ) is a Spanish football player.

Club career

Tamudo began his career in 1996 as a 18 -year-old at the Spanish side RCD Espanyol Barcelona. In his first season in the top division in Spain he could not sit down and was awarded in the following season at Deportivo Alaves. After a season with no goals, he returned to Barcelona for half a year before he was loaned to UE Lleida. Since 1999, he again played for Espanyol.

In the meantime, 373 appearances for his various clubs Tamudo has already met 137 times. He is one of the best scorers in the history of the Spanish League with 129 goals in 340 games is the best at Espanyol. In the national team he was long in the shadow of Fernando Morientes and Raúl and denied 2000-2007 13 matches in which he scored five goals.

In the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 he brought with the Spanish national team's silver medal.
