Ravelo Municipality

The municipality Ravelo is a district in the Potosí Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Ravelo is one of four Municipalities in the province Chayanta. It is bordered to the north by the province of Charcas, on the east by the department of Chuquisaca, on the southwest by the province of Cornelio Saavedra, on the west by the municipality of Ocurí, and on the northwest by the municipality of Colquechaca. It extends over 70 km from north to south and about 45 km in east-west direction.

The central location of the municipality is the village Ravelo Ravelo on the highway Ruta 6 in the central eastern part of the municipios.

Geography

The municipality Ravelo is located east of the Altiplano in Bolivia's Cordillera Central. The climate is a temperate mountain climate with typical diurnal climate where the temperature differences during the day fluctuate more than the year.
