Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso

The red grape Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is a variety of Refosco, comes from the northern Italian region of Friuli and is well known and documented since the 18th century. It bears its name because of the red-colored stalks. Refosco dal peduncolo rosso was previously with other varieties of Refosco - confused vines, such as with Refosco d'Istria, Rauscedo or Refoscone.

The variety yields a garnet -colored, acid and tannin-rich wine with a fruity bouquet. Ampelographers bring the family of Refoso always near the vine Marzemino.

The variety is in the Italian DOC zones Carso, eastern hills of Friuli, Friuli Annia, Friuli Aquileia, Friuli Grave, Isonzo and Friuli Latisana in the Friuli- Venezia Giulia Region and Lison Pramaggiore the border of the two regions of Friuli - Venezia Giulia and Veneto employed. Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is a variety of the noble vine (Vitis vinifera ). It has hermaphrodite flowers and is thus self- fruiting. When the wine-growing economic drawback is avoided, no return delivered to male plants need to grow.
