Rémering

Rémering ( German: Reimer Ingen ) is a commune with 456 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The place is located in the north of Lorraine, two miles south of Villing away and three kilometers from the German - French border.

History

The church was first mentioned in 1121 as Rimeringa. Other spellings denominated Remer Inga ( 1179 ), Rhymes Ring (1793), rhyme Ring (1801 ), Rémering -lès- Hargarten (1801 ) and Rémering ( since 1993).
