Republican Party (Namibia)

The Republican Party ( Afrikaans: Einse Republic Party ) was dated 5 October 1977 to 18 December 2010, a conservative political party in Namibia. The party leadership was Henk Mudge, Hans -Erik Staby Abraham and David.

President of the party was since the founding Henk Mudge, Vice President since September 29, 2009 Zoom Walubita.

Party merger and dissolution

On September 7, 2010, the RP has given the electoral merger with the Rally for Democracy and Progress (RDP ) announced on 2 October 2010 and the dissolution of the party. However, this is completed because of the practical feasibility and Verlustest of Parliament seat until December 18, 2010.

History

The Republican Party (RP ) was established on October 5, 1977 by Dirk Mudge in the then apartheid South Africa. On 1 December 1977, the party founded their party newspaper " The Republikein " with Johannes Spies as the first editor in chief. In the 1980s, the Republican Party was a founding member of the Democratic Alliance gym and worked until 2003 under the umbrella of this. 2003, divided the Republican Party and since then occurs independently for election in Namibia.
