Rheinlandliga

The Rhine Country League is the top division in the men's area of the Football Federation Rhineland. In the hierarchy of leagues of German football is currently the league 's sixth- highest division dar. Geographically, the league covers the northern part of Rhineland- Palatinate. The Master of the Rhineland League increases respectively in the league Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar, which operated until 2012 under the name " Oberliga West " on. The Rhine Country League are three district leagues, which are subdivided into the areas of West, Central and East, subordinate.

History

The league was introduced under the name "Amateur League Rhineland " for season 1952/53. She presented at that time represents the substructure for 2 League West and thus was mediocre in the overall hierarchy of leagues. From the season 1956/57, bis 1962/63 league game played in two seasons East and West, usually with 12 teams per season. Between the two relay winners of the Rhineland champion was determined. With the introduction of the Regionalliga Southwest as the second- highest league from the season 1963/64, the Amateur League Rhineland was again combined in a season. From the season 1974/75 the League functioned as a substructure for newly introduced 2nd Bundesliga, the Rhine country champion identified a climber in the Südstaffel the 2nd Bundesliga against the masters of the Association League West and the Association League Saar in a promotion round. From the 1978/79 season was introduced as the highest amateur league, the Oberliga West ( re-) (from the 2012/13 season called Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar ). The league was renamed "Union League Rhineland " and was since then only viertklassig. The master rose respectively to Oberliga. With the reintroduction of third-rate regional leagues to season 1994/ 95 the Association League Rhineland, which was from the season 2003/ 04 its present name "Rhine country league," only the fifth- highest league and after the introduction of the 3rd league from the 2008/09 season even only still the sixth highest level in the German league football dar.

  • In the seasons 1956/57, bis 1962/63 the winners of the two seasons Ost ( O ) and West (W ) are given in each case. The Rhine country champion is, if it is not marked as promoted in bold, marked in italics.
  • In the season 1977/78 also increased FSV Salmrohr ( 2 ), glass chemistry Wirges ( 3 ), Spfr. Eisbachtal ( 4 ) and SV Ellingen ( 5 ) in the newly created Oberliga West on.
  • In the season 1993/94 also rose glass chemistry Wirges ( 2 ) and SG Betzdorf ( 3 ) in the Oberliga West on.
  • In the season 1997/98 also SG Betzdorf ( 2 ) rose to the Oberliga West.
  • In the season 2005/06 SG Rossbach / Verscheid was not entitled to advancement as a game community. Instead, the runner- FSV Salmrohr rose to the Oberliga West.
  • In the season 2007/ 08 also SG Bad Breisig ( 2 ) rose to the Oberliga West.
  • In the season 2009/10 also SG Bad Breisig ( 2 ) rose to the Oberliga West.
  • In the season 2011/12 a playoff for the championship was held between the tied teams in the SV Mehring and Sportfreunde Eisbachtal which 1-0 Mehring decided for themselves
  • The SSV Mülheim forms since 2000 with the SSV Urmitz Station the Game Community SG 2000 Mülheim- Kärlich and played in the 2009/10 season in the Rhineland league.
  • The TuS Neuendorf plays since March 15, 1982 under the name TuS Koblenz.
