Robert Allenby

Robert Allenby ( born July 12, 1971 in Melbourne) is one of the best Australian professional golfer.

Career

Allenby 1992 professional golfer and was successful fast. He won the money list of the PGA Tour of Australasia in the first year and a second time in 1994. Overall, he won so far thirteen tournaments on that tournament series.

Allenby recorded but also to 1998, the European Tour and recorded four wins, including three alone in 1996, where he then was third on the money list. An even better placement prevented a serious car accident in October in Spain, at the Allenby a fraction of the sternum and facial injuries suffered, which kept him away for a long time from the tournament action.

Since 1999 his main focus of the North American PGA TOUR, where he won his first two tournaments in 2000 applies. In the following year he succeeded two wins, since, although Allenby remained without tournament success, but plays consistently good results, and is among the top 50 in the World Golf Rankings.

In the majors he is nothing except a 7th place successfully at the U.S. Open 2004. Allenby was drafted into the International team for the Presidents Cup five times to date.

A longtime friend is his same age compatriot and colleague Stuart Appleby Golf, which he already knows from common amateur times.
