Robot Hall of Fame

The Robot Hall of Fame has a launched in 2003 by the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University Hall of Fame. In it, both outstanding developments in the field of robot technology be appreciated as well robot from the science fiction field, which served as creative inspiration for robotics.

The robot will be selected by a jury consisting of international scholars, scientists, writers and designers. The members of the jury will be determined by James H. Morris, dean of Carnegie Mellon West. Among the previous jury members include, among others, Minoru Asada, Gordon Bell, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Jarvis, Steve Wozniak and Will Wright.

The nominations will be selected from a variety of sources, including the official website of the Hall of Fame.

The appointment of new members will take place at a formal ceremony, which is organized jointly by the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University with the Robotics Institute and the Entertainment Technology Center.
