Rochegude (Gard)

Rochegude is a commune with 217 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French department of Gard in the Languedoc- Roussillon region.

Geography

Rochegude lies in the valley of the Cèze at the beginning of the lonely wooded gorge of the Natura 2000 Habitats area Gorges de la Cèze ( Gorge of Céze ). Neighboring communities are Saint -Jean -de- Maruéjols- et- Avéjan in the north, Tharaux in the east, Méjannes- le -Clap in the south, Rivières and Saint- Denis in the west and Saint -Victor- de -Malcap in the northwest.
