Mialet (Gard)

Mialet is a municipality in the Mediterranean south of France in the arrondissement of Alès in the Gard department in the Languedoc- Roussillon region. The community is one of three in the District of Saint -Jean -du- Gard.

Geography

Mialet located on the edge of Cevennes National Park, about 80 km west of Avignon, 60 km south lies the city of Nimes, and another 50 km to the south is the Mediterranean Sea. The river Gardon de Mialet, one of the four tributaries of the Gardon, here flows past the site.

The adjoining Mialet communities are Anduze, Saint -Jean -du- Gard, Saint- Paul-la -Coste, Saint- Sébastien- d'Aigrefeuille and Thoiras in the same department as well as Saint- Étienne- Vallée- Française and Saint -Martin- de - Boubaux in the Lozere department.

Population

On 1 January 2011 Mialet had 598 inhabitants.
