Rödental

Rödental is a small town in the Upper Franconian district of Coburg and lies about seven kilometers northeast of Coburg. The municipality covers an area of ​​49.96 km ².

Geography

Rödental located in the foothills of the Thuringian Forest and has a distinct a highland region ( 306-506 m above sea level. NN ). History

Emergence Rödental

Rödental created on 1 January 1971 by the merger of six municipalities in the Bavarian municipal reform. Some parts of the city can look back on 850 years of history.
