Rokytnice (Zlín District)

Rokytnice until 1923 Roketnice ( German: Roketnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers southeast of Slavičín and belongs to Okres Zlín.

Geography

Rokytnice is located in the northwest of the White Carpathians in the area of the nature park PLA White Carpathians. The village is located in the Valley of Rokytenka. To the northeast, the Vrchy rise ( 461 m), to the east the Rovné (431 m) and Na Nivách (512 m ) southeast of the Kamenec (423 m), in the south the Smolenka (632 m), the southwest Kozice (512 m), in the west the Bukovina ( 473 m ) and the northwest Ploštiny ( 477 m). North of the village held Wlarabahn, the station Slavičín is one and a half kilometers from Rokytnice.

Neighboring towns are Hradek na Vlárské dráze, Divnice and Bohuslavice nad Vláří in the north, Rokytenka and Popov in the northeast, Jestřabí and Velíková in the east, SEBAK and Valentová the southeast, cooking Avec, jabłoni and Šanov in the south, Pod Zbytkem and Hostětín the southwest, Kolelač and Vasilsko in the west and Rudimov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the castle belonging to Brumov village took place in 1503. Owners were at that time the Podmanický of Podmanín. The residents of Rokytnice lived next to the agriculture of the Beschneiderei; a majority of the men drew to castrate as Miskar by Moravia, Bohemia, or even abroad for agricultural animals. In 1834, consisted in Rokytnice a distillery and two water mills. Until the mid-19th century Rokytnice remained the rule Brumov submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Roketnice / Roketnitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Uherský Brod. 1893 saw the establishment of a volunteer fire department. In the great fire of 1905, 33 houses were destroyed. The present name Rokytnice is in use since 1924. In 1949 the municipality of the Okres Valašské Klobouky has been assigned. After its cancellation Rokytnice came to the end of 1960 Okres Gottwaldov. In 1976, the settlement cooking Avec was separated from the land Jestřabí and slammed Rokytnice. Between 1980 and 1999 Rokytnice was incorporated to Slavičín. Since the beginning of 2000 Rokytnice forms its own community.

Attractions

  • Chapel of St.. Anna, built in 1937-1938 in place of a wooden bell tower from 1850
  • Betsäule between two Linden, at the school. One of the two trees, a 300 -year-old Summer Linde, is protected as a tree monument since 2001. She has a trunk circumference of 4.33 m.
  • Statue of St. John of Nepomuk, on village green
  • Chapel of St.. Cyril and Methodius in cooking Avec, built in 1998 in place of an earlier building
  • Jagdschlösschen cooking Avec, brook in a forest clearing above the valley of Zelensky
