Rolls-Royce AE 3007

The Rolls- Royce AE 3007 (formerly Allison AE 3007 ) is a two-shaft turbofan engine (English turbofan ) of Rolls- Royce, which is used for business aircraft in the thrust range of 30 to 40 kN thrust.

Development

Initial tests of the engine began in 1991, its first flight took place in 1996. The engine consists of a driven by a three- stage low-pressure turbine fan and a 14 - stage high-pressure compressor, which is driven by a two-stage high pressure turbine. The Rolls- Royce AE 3007 shares the engine core with the AE 1107C -Liberty and the AE 2100, from which it was derived.

The AE 3007 finds its application in aircraft such as the Embraer ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145 and Legacy as well as the Cessna Citation X. In military aviation, it is used in the drone Northrop Grumman RQ -4 Global Hawk (as AE 3007H ) and the military versions of the ERJ 145 ( Embraer R- 99A, R- 99B and P -99).
