Roman Catholic Diocese of Alghero-Bosa
The Diocese of Alghero - Bosa (Latin: Dioecesis Algarensis - Bosanensis ) is a location in Sardinia diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy, based in Alghero.
It belongs to the Ecclesiastical Province of Sassari in the Church Region of Sardinia and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sassari.
History
The Diocese of Alghero was founded in the 12th century and rebuilt on December 8, 1503. The Diocese of Bosa dates from the 5th century. On 30 September 1986, both dioceses were combined.
