Roman Catholic Diocese of Lanusei
The diocese Lanusei (Latin: Dioecesis Oleastrensis ) is a location in Sardinia diocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Lanusei. It belongs to the Ecclesiastical Province of Cagliari in the Church Region of Sardinia and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Cagliari. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene.
History
The diocese Lanusei was founded on November 8, 1824 Diocese of Ogliastra. On September 30, 1986, the seat of the bishopric was moved to Lanusei and renamed the diocese.
