The Diocese of Bellary (Latin: Dioecesis Bellaryensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Bellary.
History
The Diocese of Bellary was posted on June 15, 1928 by Pope Pius XI. out of territory of the Archdiocese of Madras and of the Diocese of Hyderabad as a mission sui juris Bellary built. On March 10, 1949, the mission was sui juris Bellary raised to the bishopric. It was the Archdiocese of Bangalore is a suffragan. The Diocese of Bellary was on June 24, 2005 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Diocese of Gulbarga.
