The diocese of Itanagar (Latin: Dioecesis Itanagarensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Itanagar.

History

The diocese of Itanagar was on 7 December 2005 by Pope Benedict XVI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Cum nuper from cessions of territory of the diocese of Tezpur and the Archdiocese of Guwahati is a suffragan. First bishop was John Thomas Kattrukudiyil.

Territory

The diocese of Itanagar comprises the districts of East Kameng, East Siang, Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri, Papum Pare, Tawang, Upper Siang, Upper Subansiri, West Kameng and West Siang in Arunachal Pradesh.
