Roman Catholic Diocese of Lashio

The Diocese of Lashio (Latin: Dioecesis Lashioensis ) is a location in Myanmar Roman Catholic diocese based in Lashio.

History

The Diocese of Lashio was posted on November 20, 1975 by Pope Paul VI. out of territory of the diocese of Kengtung built as Apostolic Prefecture of Lashio. On 7 July 1990, the Apostolic Prefecture of Lashio was elevated by Pope John Paul II to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Mandalay is a suffragan.
