The Diocese of Mao - Monte Cristi (Latin: Dioecesis Maoënsis - Montis Christ, Spanish: diócesis de Mao - Monte Cristi ) is a location in the Dominican Republic Roman Catholic diocese based in Mao.

History

The Diocese of Mao - Monte Cristi was born on January 16, 1978 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Papal Bull Studiosi instar out of territory of the Diocese of Santiago de los Caballeros and the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo is a suffragan. On 14 February 1994, the Diocese of Mao - Monte Cristi the Archdiocese of Santiago de los Caballeros, suffragan was assumed.
