The Roman Catholic Diocese of Rumbek (Latin: Dioecesis Rumbekensis ) comprises the districts of Rumbek, Lakes Yirol and Shobet in the state and the districts Warab and Tonj in Warrap State in Southern Sudan.

History

On July 3, 1955 subregions of the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Mupoi prefecture and the Bahr al - Ghazal and Bahr al - Jabal were summarized in the newly established Apostolic Vicariate of Rumbek, which was collected on 12 December 1974 on the diocese.
