The Diocese of Vallo della Lucania (Latin: Dioecesis Vallensis in Lucania, Italian: Diocese of Vallo della Lucania ) is a located in Italy Roman Catholic diocese based in Vallo della Lucania.

History

The Diocese of Vallo della Lucania was built in the 12th century as a diocese Capaccio. On September 21, 1850, the diocese was Capaccio from parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese Diano Teggiano. The diocese of Capaccio was born on July 16, 1851 by Pope Pius IX. with the Apostolic Constitution Cum propter iustitiae dilectionem renamed Diocese of Capaccio- Vallo.

The diocese of Capaccio- Vallo was renamed on November 24, 1945 in the diocese of Vallo di Lucania. On September 30, 1986, the Diocese of Vallo di Lucania was renamed by the Congregation for Bishops in the diocese of Vallo della Lucania.
