Ron Bozman

Ronald M. Bozman (* 20th century in the Dallas, Texas), also known as Ron Bozman, is an American film producer. He won at the Academy Awards in 1992 along with Edward Saxon Kenneth Utt and the Oscar for best film with The Silence of the Lambs.

Life

Bozman grew up in Garland, Texas. After attending the local high school (graduation year 1965), he studied psychology at Rice University and received a Bachelor of Arts.

Bozman began his film career in 1974 as Director of Production at the film Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He was then in the 1980s, assistant director, among others in The Muppets Take Manhattan ( 1984), Dangerous (1986 ) and Married to the Mob (1988). In 1981, he received as an assistant director for television film cross of violence a Directors Guild of America Award. Subsequently, he was increasingly active as a film producer. 1992 won an Academy Award, a Producers Guild of America Award, and his second Directors Guild of America Award for The Silence of the Lambs.

Two years later, he was executive producer on Philadelphia ( 1994). His other credits include No Panic - Good hostages are rare ( 1994), Eddie (1996 ), Beloved (1998), For Love of the Game (1999), Lane Change (2002), The Human Stain ( 2003), The Stepford Wives (2004), Failure to Launch (2006), Perfect Stranger (2007) and Shopaholic - Confessions of a Shopaholic ( 2009). In some of these films, he was also an assistant director.
