Rostěnice-Zvonovice

Rostěnice - Zvonovice is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south-west of Vyškov and belongs to Okres Vyškov.

Geography

Rostěnice - Zvonovice located between the Drahany country and the Litenčické Hills in the Vyškovská Brázda ( Wischau gate). The village extends creek on both sides of the creek Rostěnický. In the northwest, the D1 motorway passes; north exit 226 Vyškov -západ lies to which the village has no direct connection. North-east rises the Kopaniny ( 356 m) and in the south of Spice ( 302 m).

Neighboring towns are Drnovice, Kasparovsky Dvůr Nosálovice and Nouzka in the north, Brňany and Terešov in the northeast, Dvorek and Hlubočany in the east, Kučerov the southeast, Lysovice in the south, Podbřežice and Komořany the southwest, Tucapy and Nemojany in the west and Luleč in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Rostěnice was in 1131 in the possession Escrow Bishop Henry Zdiks of all the Church of St. Peter related goods to the newly built St. Wenceslas Cathedral in Olomouc. In it for the Pustimirer Gau related goods Nemojany, Podivice and Rostěnice, possessions in Vyškov, Dražovice, Hlubočany, Želeč, Křižanovice and the desert village Melice at Pustimir were called. In another document from 1141 Zdiks turn a Vorwerk were listed in Rostěnice. Zvonovice belonged to the late 13th century to the possessions of the lords of Obřany. Until the mid- 19th century, both villages were always at different dominions submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rosternitz and Swonowitz formed in 1850 independent communities in the District Commission Wischau. Both towns were mostly inhabited by Germans and belonged to Wischau linguistic island. Since the second half of the 19th century put an increased influx of Czechs in the remaining eight places in the linguistic enclave. During the German occupation, the expulsion of the Czech minority in the linguistic enclave villages took place. Between 1945 and 1946, the German inhabitants were expelled to Germany and repopulated the city with the Czechs from between 1941 and 1945 cleared for the military training area of 33 villages Drahany country whose homes had been destroyed during the exercises. With the beginning of 1961 Rostěnice and Zvonovice to the municipality Rostěnice - Zvonovice were merged. Between 1986 and 1994 both villages were incorporated to Vyškov. In 1995, the municipality Rostěnice - Zvonovice arose again. Since 2004 Rostěnice - Zvonovice leads a coat of arms and banners.
