Roy Thomas Baker

Roy Thomas Baker ( born 1946 ) is a British music producer. He is especially known as a co-producer of the first albums of the rock band Queen.

His collaboration with Queen began in 1972. During the next three years he produced together with the band whose albums Queen ( 1973) Queen II (1974 ) Sheer Heart Attack ( 1974) and A Night at the Opera ( 1975). After they parted ways, and the members of Queen produced their next two albums without him. 1978 was again followed by a renewed and last collaboration in the production of the album Jazz. Baker is co-producer of some of the most known songs by Queen, such as Killer Queen, You're My Best Friend, Bohemian Rhapsody, Bicycle Race and Do not Stop Me Now.

Roy Thomas Baker produced numerous albums each of the Danish rock band Gasolin ' and the American band The Cars. He also worked as a producer for many other musicians and bands, these include Hawkwind, Ian Hunter, Dusty Springfield, Yes, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne, The Stranglers, The Darkness and The Smashing Pumpkins.
