Charts and reception

Flush the Fashion in the U.S. reached number 40 on the charts in the UK and 56th place More Results scored the album in Sweden with 34th place in Norway with space 32 and in New Zealand with 40th place

Greg Prato of Allmusic awarded the album 2.5 out of 5 stars. Compared with the previous albums and Lace and Whiskey From the Inside sword the sound of Flush the Fashion smoother and more polished. Prato attributes this to the producers Roy Baker, who replaced the guitar riffs that were typical of Cooper by synthesizer. Another reason for the unusual sound, he sees in Coopers again alcoholism, through the Flush the Fashion and subsequent albums have been unpredictable and uncharacteristic.
