Ruszowice, KÅ‚odzko County

Ruszowice ( German Rauschwitz ) is a village in the powiat Kłodzki in Lower Silesia in Poland. It is located six kilometers north-west of Klodzko ( Glatz ), whose rural community it belongs to.

Geography

Ruszowice is located on a plateau in the south of the 401 m high mountain Orła ( Georgshöhe ). Neighboring towns are Gorzuchów in the north, Piszkowice in the northeast, and Korytów Roszyce in the southeast, southwest and Suszyna Kamieniec in the northwest.

History

Rauschwitz was first mentioned in writing in 1347. It was referred to in older documents as Ruswicz or Ruswitz and was gepfarrt by Pish Schukowitzgasse. It belonged to Glatzer country with which it shared the story of his political and religious affiliation from the beginning. First known Owner of the Manor at Ruswitz was 1388 Hans Hugwitz ( Haug joke). 1472 it acquired Hinko ( Heinrich) of Haug joke. He connected it to his estate upper Pish Schukowitzgasse with which it then formed a village community. The grand Vorwerk originated from two farm goods, which acquired Dittrich Haugwitz 1588 by Melchior Rachner and 1607 by Daniel Kubicken. Under an agreement between the Glatzer knights and the royal cities in 1590 determined that Dittrich Haugwitz the Bierverlag for Rauschwitz half the year from Michaelmas to Georgi entitled, during the next six months was to get the beer out of Glatz.

After the Silesian Wars Rauschwitz came together with the county of Glatz in 1763 with the Peace of Hubertusburg to Prussia. For 1795 are shown: a stately Vorwerk, a Kretscham, the blacksmith and shoemaker and 14 farmers and gardeners eleven.

After the reorganization of Prussia Rauschwitz belonged since 1815 to the province of Silesia and was from 1816 to 1945 the county Glatz incorporated. February 28, 1874, the rural community Rauschwitz was assigned to the District Pish Schukowitzgasse. 1939 counted 191 inhabitants. As a result of the Second World War, it fell in 1945 as almost all of Silesia to Poland and was renamed Ruszowice. The German population was expelled. The new inhabitants were partly displaced persons from eastern Poland. 1975-1998 belonged to Ruszowice Voivodeship Wałbrzych.
