Sabrina Buchholz

Sabrina Buchholz ( born March 5, 1980 in Suhl ) is a former German biathlete.

Career

Sabrina Buchholz started for the WSV Oberhof 05 and made his debut in 2000 at the first stop of the season in Hochfilzen in the Biathlon World Cup. Already in the first race she finished ninth in the sprint over 7.5 km. However, only in 2002 was followed by another two World Cup appearances, both of which ended with placements between number 20 and 30. As of 2004, it now appeared regularly on the World Cup. It belonged to the second highest performance group Ib.

In 2000, she was with the team in the sprint and pursuit in Hochfilzen World Junior Champion. Only in individual she was beaten by Irina Fomina, Second. In various European championships from 2002 to 2007, she was once a European champion with the Season (2002), twice Vice- European Champion (2005 singles, 2007 Season ) and twice with the third season (2004 and 2006). She ran a successful 2007/08 season with a fifth place in the Sprint Hochfilzen than hitherto best career result. At the 2008 World Championships in Östersund it reached its greatest success, winning the mixed relay together with Magdalena Neuner, Andreas Birnbacher and Michael Greis. As a starting runner she ran a good race and shot clean.

Early May 2012 ended Buchholz her biathlon career. It is " ... not motivated enough to attack again with full commitment. " Buchholz has been teaching since August 2012 Sport and use the teaching and continuing education center of the Federal Police in Oerlenbach.

Buchholz is engaged with the biathletes Christoph Stephan.
