Sadegh Goudarzi

Sadegh Saeed Goudarzi (born 22 September 1987) is an Iranian wrestler. He won at the Olympic Games London 2012, a silver medal in the free style welterweight

Career

Sadegh Goudarzi began at the age of 11 years in 1998 with the rings. It belongs to the Ringer Club Khaneh Koshti and has been, or is, trained by his father Saeed Goudarzi and Pejman Dorostkar, both former world-class wrestler. With a size of 1.72 meters, it starts in the welterweight division, the weight category to 74 kg body weight. He is a student.

Sadegh Goudarzi won as a junior in 2004 and at the 2006 Asian Championships and finished at the Junior World Championship 2006 in Guangzhou welterweight behind the starting time yet for Russia Kahaber Chubeschtu the 2nd place.

In February 2012, he was then in Gumi / South Asian champions again. In the final, he defeated his long-time rival this Abdulhakim Schapijew. Well prepared, he took up at the Olympic Games in London. He won there over Kiril Tersijew from Bulgaria, Soslan Tigijew from Uzbekistan and Gabor hatos, but lost the final again against Jordan Burroughs, which earned him the Olympic silver medal.
