Sahit Prizreni

Sahit Prizreni ( born February 23, 1982 in Kukes, Albania) is an Albanian wrestler.

Career

Sahit Prizreni began as a teenager in 1992 with the rings. He was a member of the SC to Tirana. He is trained by Sylejman Shala and starts only in free style. At a size of 1.67 meters, it starts here at featherweight, the weight category up to 60 kg body weight. In the years 2005 to 2007, Sahit Prizreni held on in the United States and was a member of the New York Athletic Club ( NYAC ). In 2008 he was flag-bearer of the Albanian team at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Since the 2009/10 season he wrestles for the SV Germania Weingarten in the German Bundesliga.

The international career of Sahit Prizreni began in 1999 with the participation in the World Junior Championship ( Cadets ) in Łódź. In the weight category up to 50 kg body weight he could be there, but only to place on the 16th rank. Much better it was for him already at the Junior European Championship ( Cadets ) in 2000 in Bratislava, where he arrived on the 4th place in the bantamweight. The first medal win at an international championship then succeeded him at the Junior European Championship ( Juniors) in 2002 in Tirana. He finished there behind Mawlet Batirow from Russia and Besarion Gochaschwili from Georgia 3rd place.

In 2003 he competed at the World Championships in New York in the spring weight. He won there over Gergö Wöller from Hungary and lost against Arif Abdulajew from Azerbaijan, which he accordingly resigned the former Regulations and finished only 23th Place. In 2004 he qualified for participation in the Olympic Games in Athens. Also in Athens him Ringer Luck was not particularly because he lost there against Besik Aslanashwili from Georgia and Moustafa Massoud Jokar from Iran and landed on the 17th Place.

Sahit Prizreni then took until after his stay in the USA in 2007 again participate in an international championship. He competed at the World Championships this year in Baku and was greatly improved. He came there to victories over Mike Zadick from the United States, poor Karapetyan from Armenia and Murad Ramazanow from Macedonia. In the semifinals, he lost to Anatoli Guidea from Bulgaria, but was victorious in the battle for the bronze medal against He Qin from China.

At the 2008 European Championships in Tampere he won the featherweight about Aleksandrs Truskins from Latvia, but then lost again against Anatoly Guidea and reached the 9th place. Through his medal win at the 2007 World Championships Sahit Prizreni was automatically qualified to compete in the Olympic Games in Beijing. However, in Beijing he left already in the first round with a defeat against Bazar Bazargurujew from Kyrgyzstan, because this did not reach the final battle in the course of the tournament. He ended up in 16th place.

In 2009 Sahit Prizreni started only at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara, finishing there in lightweight the 5th Place. In 2010 he took part in the World Championships in Moscow. He came there to a victory over the Yogeshwar Dutt Inger, but was defeated in his next fight the Cuban Alejandro Valdes Tobier which he retired and finished only 18th place.

In 2011 he fought at the European Championships in Dortmund featherweight with wins over Vincenzo Rizzi Otto, Italy, Manfred Ewald, Germany and Wasil Fedorischin from Ukraine in the finals before. In this he was defeated, however, against Opan satellite from Russia pretty clear on points (0-2 rounds, 1:7 points). He thus won a European Championship silver medal. At the World Championships this year in Istanbul he lost already in the first round against Andrei Perpelita from Moldova just on points (1:2 rounds, 4:5 points). Since Perpelita not reached the final, so that the world championship had already been completed for him and he landed on the 28th place.
